INGSA Vice President (Capacity)

Binyam was a founding fellow of the Ethiopian Young Academy of Sciences and a member of the Global Young Academy and it’s Science Advice Working Group. Previously he has worked as an education specialist at UNESCO’s International Institute for Capacity Building in Africa.

Currently he is Associate Director and Associate Professor of African Languages and Linguistics at The Africa Institute in the United Arab Emirates.

In 2019, he was selected as the recipient of one of INGSA’s Research Associate grants and was a key lead in organising INGSA’s 2019 Ethiopian Workshop on the Role of Science in Assisting Regional Policy Development
