Winners of Grassroots Science Advice Promotion Awards 2021
INGSA-Asia would like to congratulate the winners of its Grassroots Science Advice Promotion Awards 2021 on their incredible achievements. As part of this award, the winners will receive a seed grant worth €500 as well as guidance and mentorship from a distinguished INGSA-Asia Steering Committee Member to organise science advice workshops in their home countries.
The winners are:
- Ms Desmiwati, Mr Thomas Oni Veriasa & Ms Wahyu Adiningtyas (Indonesia) – Science Advice by Practice: Communicating Agroforestry Business Plan of Forest Farmer Groups to the Village Authority in Parungpanjang, Bogor, West Java, Indonesia
- Dr Jenice Jean Goveas & Dr Moumita Koley (India) – The Role of Science Advice in Incorporating Open Science Framework as one of Indian STI Policy Priorities
- Dr Kristoffer B. Berse (Philippines) – Dynamics, Challenges, and Prospects for Mainstreaming Science Advice in Local Crisis Management: Lessons from COVID-19 in the Philippines
- Dr Shabana Khan (India) – Linking Science and Policy into Planning for Existing and Evolving Risks of COVID, Climate Change and Disasters: Identifying Challenges and Opportunities
INGSA-Asia looks forward to supporting the winners in organising timely and impactful programmes to promote science advice at a grassroots level.
