Alice Pask

INGSA Secretariat Intern – 2023

My name is Alice Pask and I’m a fourth year at the University of Toronto. I’m majoring in the History and Philosophy of Science and minoring in Science, Technology, and Society.

I have been primarily studying the history of the biological sciences, ranging from the 15th to the 21st century. My central focus is science’s role in constructing concepts like race and gender. I hope to continue in my program and eventually use historical research to make a difference in present-day medical practice.

Being an intern at INGSA was an amazing opportunity to see the facilitation of scientific communication and get a closer look at the creation of evidence-informed policy.
