INGSA-Africa: 3rd Cohort of the SASDP Underway

The 3rd cohort of the INGSA-Africa Science Advice Skills Development Program (SASDP-3), kicked off on 1st October 2024 after a successful Virtual Introductory Workshop on 26th September 2024

Following the success of the first two mentorship cohorts, the program has been considerable expanded with 22 selected mentees (12 male and 10 female) coming from Benin, Cote d’ Ivoire, Ghana, Guinea and Nigeria (West Africa); Cameroon (Central Africa); Zimbabwe (Southern Africa); Kenya (East Africa); Egypt (North Africa) and Madagascar (The Islands).

These early and mid-stage practitioners have been paired with 22 mentors from around the world, including Cameroon, Cote d’Ivoire, Egypt, Kenya, Mauritius, Nigeria, South Africa and Uganda (Africa and The Islands); Philippines (Asia); Belgium, Germany, Netherlands and Switzerland (Europe) and Canada (North America).

The program enables mentees to strengthen their skills in communicate their research results by developing their practical and theoretic knowledge of science advice skills.

The program ends on 31st March 2025.
