INGSA-Asia – ASEAN Consultative Meeting

Regional meeting feeding into the next INGSA Global Conference.

Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
14th July – 15th July 2026

In the lead up to INGSA’s next Global Conference in 2027, INGSA-Asia and its partners will be hosting a Regional Consultative Meeting in July 2026…

INGSA-Asia – in partnership with the Malaysian Industry-Government Group for High Technology (MIGHT) and the International Institute of Science Diplomacy and Sustainability (IISDS) – will co-host a summit enabling ASEAN stakeholders to exchange perspectives on science advice systems, strengthen coordination in science–policy interfacing, and ensure that regional priorities and experiences are meaningfully reflected in the program and outcomes of INGSA2027.

Science Diplomacy

Scientific knoweldge is increasinly necessary for navigating complex global problems, for defining our shared reality and building consensus – at the same time trust in expertise is being undermined and politicised.

Nature-Positive Solutions

Nature and its resources underpin our economies, our wellbeing, and the planetary systems that make our societies possible. We as a planet have to move beyond extractivism, and science is key to forming the policy to get there.

Renewed Multilateralism

Global crises require a global platform in order to align action, yet multilateralism in its current form has lost the trust of many. What does a more agile, inclusive, and problem-driven multilateralism look like, and how do we get there?
