Grassroots Workshop – Using Scientific Evidence for Maximizing Benefits of China Pakistan Economic Corridor – Pakistan 2019

On the 5th of November 2019, the workshop themed “Using Scientific Evidence for Maximizing Benefits of China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC)” was held at the National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST) in Islamabad, the Capital of Pakistan. This is the first INGSA Asia Grassroots workshop ever to be held in Pakistan and was organised by the Asia chapter of INGSA jointly with NUST and National Academy of Young Scientists (NAYS).

The workshop focused on the topic of utilizing science to maximize the benefits of CPEC which is one of the most important development initiatives in Pakistan’s history. A total of 35 participants representing the govt sector, NGO, universities and industry were at the workshop. The workshop was an interactive one with many different talks and one case study with role playing that provided excellent networking opportunity among the participants and was appreciated by all.
