INGSA-Africa, the Africa Regional Chapter of the International Network for Governmental Science Advice, is delighted to announce the launch of the fifth call for the Science Advice Skills Development Program (SASDP). This initiative is designed to strengthen the capacity of early and mid-career researchers with an interest in science advice and policymaking to engage effectively at the science–policy interface.
Through interactive training, mentorship, and practical exercises, participants will gain hands‑on experience in evidence‑informed policymaking, communication strategies, and the dynamics of advisory systems. The programme provides a unique opportunity to join a global network of peers and experts committed to advancing the role of science in public decision‑making.
Applications for mentees are now open, and the deadline is 17 August 2026, and we encourage motivated African researchers from diverse disciplines and regions to apply.
