The International Network for Governmental Science Advice (INGSA) works through a distributed and global model of work. The INGSA Secretariat is based the University of Auckland, New Zealand. The Office of the President is based at the Fonds de recherche du Québec (FRQ) in Québec.

Each of the Regional Chapters and Thematic Divisions have the option of their own Steering Committee or governance structures to enable deep and context-specific engagement with their communities.
